John Becker

Trainer

My name is John Becker. If you are reading this, you have stumbled upon my profile and thus are already familiar with my education, in which case I will not bore you with those details here. However, all of my degrees, from Psychology and Education, to personal training and Holistic Heath Sciences have been motivated by a desire to help and serve others in some capacity. Life is a journey after all, not a destination. As a health coach who is aspiring for their PhD in Natural Medicine from Quantum University, I offer a holistic approach with an understanding of human behavior as well as extension experience in teaching individuals in a variety of capacities, from educational institutions, to martial arts, which provides a unique perspective not offered by other individuals.

As a certified master personal trainer with the American Sports and Fitness Association, I bring more than 6 years of experience personal training with an emphasis on strength, flexibility, endurance, and hand eye coordination. In order to optimize health and longevity, I have found it is best to focus on all rep ranges. Put simply, bodybuilders could benefit from power lifting and power lifters could benefit from body building. Getting exposure to a variety of rep ranges is great for our strength, tissues, and joints, especially when coupled with a full range of motion. Otherwise, it is great to think of exercise as a way to practice and master movement instead of checking a box.

Regarding nutrition, I believe in a variety of foods through an omnivorous diet. For those who have specific restrictions and philosophies, I can customize accordingly. Otherwise I focus first on the basics because we all know the basics, we just don’t all consistently implement the basics

When it comes to practicing health consulting, it would take too long to describe. What I like to emphasize is consistent exercise and diet, getting consistent sleep, and reducing stress, working on emotions, and helping you discover tools to deal with life so you can make good decisions. Supplements, nutrient deficiencies, essential oils, guided meditation practices are just some examples of strategies we can try.

Another key idea is mindset. What we feel and think will impact our health, which is why as a health coach it is important for clients to delve into the self help genre and find books that will be useful in providing insight, perspective, and action to make a difference in how one thinks, feels, and deals with life.

Thank you for reading my bio and I hope you enjoyed a brief run down of my life and what I offer prospective clients.

ISSA Personal Trainer

Hey all! I am currently offering martial arts training/group fitness! I offer a karate-inspired cardio workout, bo/jo (staff) instruction, and a creative striking class! In the creative striking class, we will go over a variety of different techniques. Everything from spinning kicks to twirling a bo and more! We will then use these techniques to create your own open form! No experience necessary!

I was born in the SF Bay Area but have lived in the Inland Northwest for about 10 years. I’ve always been an athlete and have competed in soccer, point sparring, cross country, and baseball.
I started training in Kajukenbo Karate at age 11 and achieved the rank of black belt. With this rank, I had the honor of teaching my own classes for about 5 years. I also have experience in sword, kama, bo, and Kung Fu. I am currently engaged and am a proud father of my 3-year-old son, Daniel. On my spare time, I love hanging out at the lake with the family, running the Centennial Trail, watching kung fu movies, and making homemade salsa. My goal in starting Quick Kick Fitness is to empower individuals and give them the skills they need to defend themselves while providing a fun place to learn!

Contact me via email if you would like to set up a class or if you have any additional questions. Classes are designed for all ages and are fun for the whole family!
Zoom sessions are also available!

Cody Drake

ASCEND FITNESS LLC

I am a Coeur d’ Alene native and have been here since 2003. I went to highschool at
Coeur d’ Alene high school and graduated in 2015. Since I graduated, I enlisted into the
Army in 2016 as a Cavalry Scout. While I was in the Army, I developed a love for
physical fitness and learned more about the physical and mental benefits of working
out, including different styles of working out. When I got out of the Army in 2021, I
decided to get my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports
Medicine.
On the side, I am a lacrosse coach for Coeur d’ Alene High School and I love to do
anything outdoors, ride anything with a motor in it, and travel around the country.
My passion is seeing the mental and physical accomplishments people have through
the love of fitness; in my opinion, personal training is the most gratifying job. The best
parts about being a personal trainer are the relationships I end up having with the
people I am training and seeing the sense of accomplishment in their faces when they
complete their goals, there is nothing better.
